WORKPLACE COVID TEST 'EXEMPTIONS' DON'T MAKE SENSE

The Supreme Court will soon hear cases related to whether an employee in a public-interfacing job can be exempted from being vaxxed or tested ...while continuing in that job. This doesn’t make sense — the Covid virus, like any other disease, doesn’t obey road signs and traffic lights… or exemption notices. That just doesn’t work for them.

On-the-job exemptions from Covid vaxing or testing are like a town debating whether a tornado has the right to rip a town apart while the town is flying to pieces. Tornadoes, blizzards, earthquakes, and viruses, can’t read, can’t hear, and follow their own paths.  They are not religious nor are they affiliated with a particular political or personal ideology. They are forces and agents indifferent to human wants unless influenced by engineering or scientific means. Humans have limited options to cope with such forces and all options require agency not debates or committee consensus. Building and going into shelters, or getting out of a storm's way generally works.

In the workplace, in the case of the Covid virus, it seems the rational response to a request for exemption from Covid vax or testing is, if there are means, to permit an employee to transfer to a distanced or otherwise non-infective function, to take a leave of absence, to work at home, or to look for another job. There are so many options to exemptions that ‘firing’ should not happen.  The same arguments and options seem to apply to cases where exemptions are sought for ideological or religious reasons.

THE 'JAN 6 (2021) COUP' CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS - EVEN BACK IN 2015, SHOULDNT WE HAVE SEEN THIS COMING? (SOME DID)

THE THEME.  We must take advantage of this time of plague and political danger to sit, think, reconcile and reset America's path forward.   

There must be a national reconciliation of political parties and a re-defining of our national morals, ethics, and perspectives ...and especially we must commit to our future goals for the COMMON GOOD ... and then let those seeds grow for five years until we can how to make them better.  All of these qualities and thoughts seem to have been trounced during the grab-bag, treasure hunt Trump years whose tainted air, though dissipating, stubbornly lingers! 

In retrospect, and with perhaps just a little bit of mind-stretching, we might have imagined and posted a prediction of the January 6, 2021, near-coup. But we held back on 'going there' and even sketch-posting such a  scene as too...something. And anyway, wouldn't the mechanics of our government prevent such a banana-republic thing from happening ...here? But it did nearly happen here and right before our shocked eyes (but not a surprise to the cabal of 'important' establishment figures, minor actors, and just ordinary followers of Trump ... united in their 'heil' adulation of Trump.)

Nowhere along this trail of postings since 2009, did this blogger truly expect America to have a coup set in motion ... by, and with the cooperation of (co-conspiracy, abetting?) rightist-leaning establishment individuals and institutions ... who collectively operated in the dark and who then, with their side-puppets, hid their plans from intelligence and law enforcement agencies. (When just knowing about them and not reporting such conspiracy planning is a violation of national security laws.) 

In retrospect, the co-conspirators in the nature of amateurs brayed their hubris and cultish intentions for all to hear and see... by whoever chose to hear and see. Trump's supporters heard the call clearly and a bunch showed up in Washington, DC on January 6, 2021. 

Apparently, all of that background came as a surprise to the Trump opposition.  And this could be a critical test for American democracy, i.e, even among Trump non-supporters, were there those who knew what was planned but kept quiet?  Will there have to be a national reconciliation of political parties and defining our national morals, perspectives ...and especially our future goals as a nation for the COMMON GOOD.  All of these qualities seem to have been trounced during the grab-bag tenor of the Trump years.

"DON'T LOOK UP" (A FILM) - THIS SHIP OF FOOLS SAILS ON ... "VILE BODIES" AND ALL, VIEWS FROM THE RABBIT HOLE

Sometimes our observations receive a critical eye, but our 'pen' remains unblunted as we keep a sharp eye on the ways and directions of American politics and culture. 

With this said, we report on the recently released, apocalyptic-dystopian-themed movie, Don't Look Up (Adam McKay, author, producer, and director, 2021, Netflix Inc,). [Note: the film's themes ring very true by our close readings of politics, culture, aerospace, and astrobiology.]

This film is a brilliant parody, with excellent acting, excellent script, and excellent scenery and staging. BUT IT IS NOT FUNNY! It hits close to what's happening in America right now, today. It is a mirror of current America reflecting our double speak politics, personal and institutional cynicism and corruption, and above all, the overriding monetization of everything even the coming extinction of planet earth (as if that makes sense).  

Acting: great-as-usual performances by Streep and De Caprio. Also great to see how Jonah Hill has honed and matured his craft. Jennifer Lawrence is significant as a kind of Greek Chorus-like critical eye and commentary that keeps things from slipping entirely into the numbing, erratic madness that was the last president's term. 

Watching "Don't Look Up" was a learning event rich with already-witnessed but newly-processed reflections on the last presidential term that will be recorded as a historic 'low' in America's 250 years. The Trump years are extra sobering when seen through this movie.

With the 'Jan 6 (2021)' investigation committee hearings underway in a few days, we can ponder this film about American disfunction and decline into absurdity.

But. Not funny? Why? Because its exaggerations seem like current America  - double-speak politics and players, media crassness, conspiracy and corruption, and a pervasive monetization of everything even extinction, that reduces 'truth' and extinction to this evening's tv ratings.

As the result of reading a few early, at-best non-committal reviews of Don't Look Up, I put off watching it until my daughter 'suggested' I see it. (I've learned to 'hear' my daughter as much by her tone of voice as from just her words. Her message was 'Dad,...a tool.')  With that guidance, needless to say, I was very impressed by the film's crafting, acting and message but disappointed that the film hasn't gotten the praise it deserves... I feel this is coming. 

"Don't Look Up's" portrayal of a ratings-obsessed media corporate bloc even in the face of global extinction is damning but isn't this what appears to be the current media reality?  

This film is not funny because its seeming science fiction content is real: 

1. A potentially planet-killer cosmic body might hit Earth, 2027-2037 (European Space Agency);
2.  NASA already landed a probe on a comet in 2005 (! hmmm!);  
3. Humans leaving Earth - Elon Musk plans to launch his SpaceX Mars colonization ship in 2024-25 (USA DOD has so far given Musk maybe 10 billion dollars and Musk anticipates by 2030 getting a trillion dollars more for transporting a million humans to Mars) 

Mass media's cynical hyping of eventual extinction has long been a 'usual' and we already have in place the film's puppet red-hats, i.e., Trump's MAGA crowd; and the curtain is being drawn back revealing the willingness of the military-industrial combine to go with the flow in order to make and acquire more exotic weapons and gear.

Don't Look Up should be viewed by as many American and global citizens as possible. It should become an important assignment in future college and high school courses on a wide variety of subjects (film making, politics, satire, media conduct and ethics, corruption, history, social movements, astrobiology and extinction, global warming ...and other areas that are, or should be, of national concern but are ignored, downplayed, spun around, demeaned ...all out of a cynical institutional and individual commitments to special interests usually involving money or institutional preservation for the sake of... self-preservation.  (It seems appropriate here to reference the American Supreme Court's 2010 granting of human-like, political-donor status to business corporations and their interests to the political action group, Citizens United (Citizens United v. Federal Election Committee, US Supreme Court, 2010).   

Don't Look Up revisits the spirit and insights of prior classic literary works about the weaknesses and failures of human governance structures. Notably,  my list of such works includes the 'gold standard' of dystopian social illness, 1984, (George Orwell, 1949), which brings into sharp focus the complicity of individuals with our institutions-become-'persons' to oppress,  monitor and imprison...ourselves.  

One should also include in such a list of predictive, dystopian books:  Brave New World (Aldous Huxley, 1932),  Keep The Flags Flying (Evelyn Waugh, 1930), and  Little Brother  (Cory Doctorow, 2008). In these works, a central theme is the overriding dismalness of human constructs and our species' atavistic, not-far-from-monkeys-with-hands-stuck-in-the-cookie-jar inability to let go and save themselves when there is money to be made ... even in the face of a soon-to-come tomorrow when money and material goods will be meaningless. (Note actor, Jonah Hill's, masterful rant lamenting the coming loss of luxury condominiums, 'the good "stuff" of society as if this was the most significant loss from extinction - I am liking how he has continuously honed and broadened his acting craft over the years ... in this case a wicked, nearly perfect portrayal of our former president's erratic ramblings.)

Other important and distinctive themes in these works include keen perceptions of society's inequalities, its dis-and-malfunctions, pervasive cynicism, the manipulation of political and especially populism, the vulnerability of humanity to sharp-eyed 'users and manipulators'.   

The result seems to be an American 'normalization' of superficiality... in many areas, we seem to prefer a superficial life of artificiality - of emotions, tastes (ersatz foods), work, etc. More so, is the normalization of societal stress ... on institutions that lose sight of their purposes and on individuals who are so heavily stressed they (we) lose the ability and incentive to protest or even react. (Or, seek artificial means to counteract stress such as opiates, alcohol, and a myriad other palliative means  (open-market or illegal).

My overall reaction to 'Don't Look Up' was the same as one of the movie's messages —  humanity, in the face of truly global dangers, is being badly served by the complicity of Big Media with our other national estates (eg, government, military, politics, ...) to sell and preserve their specific institutional interests rather than protecting the nation's or humanity's well being. 

In this 'New World', global extermination becomes merely another media spin project as if 'extermination' is simply a dictionary entry to be replaced with a nicer sounding synonym ... and as if it all is a fantasy existence whose meaning is how much money one can get and how extravagantly one lives.

"Superficial" is too mild a description of where we were under DT (aka RICO Dedito, aka TFG). Meryl Streep's POTUS is both superficial and evilly so because she knows exactly what, why, how and where-to she is spinning. (Are these the qualities needed to be elected POTUS?)

I didn't laugh watching "Don't Look Up" and I still won't laugh during the twice-more times I plan to watch it. I see its characters - the heroes, the satanic, the naive, the herd, and the corruption, and end-times, all being played out on our stage of reality right now.

SINCE 2009, THE GOP HAVEN'T CHANGED... EXCEPT AN ATTEMPTED OVERTHROW OF GOVERNMENT

PERICLES21 very recently reviewed some early posts, from 2009 on, to see how the GOP reacted to the election of President Obama - to try to see any changes or shifts...or improvements in GOP attitudes. This kind of distanced self-assessment is often helpful if not sobering as opinions, perspectives and mental edges can soften. 

But, lo and behold, doesn't this April, 2009 post title and lead-in read uncannily like it was written today? (The only change seems to be the 2009 Tea Party graduates actually tried to overthrow the  American government on January 6, 2021): The GOP Ship of Fools' sails on, forever seeking. Eventually, they might realize they are dead in the water because they forgot to raise the anchor. Until ten, the GOP rows furiously only pausing their Sysiphian effort to pat themselves as the GOP vessel sits deadin the water.

The GOP Today - Resigned, Near-Dead, But Still Tea Bagging...So, It Isn't all Bad, Right?

"Right now, the only GOP action [to nullify Obama's election to POTUS] is a half-hearted call to insurrection, [Hmmm, they're consistent] aka the New Tea Party movement. But as usual with the GOP these days, their knack for stepping ankle deep in nasty stuff and then ...g leefully, as if they are doing something terribly witty, shoving said foot into mouth, ... .."                                                                                                             AND                                                                                                                                            "the GOP is lost in a kind of political 'mannerism' where they remember the postures but have lost any idea of the meanings and contexts of their awkaward and jerky mimicry of conservativeness. The result is the derangement of Limbaugh, the Innanity of Hannity, the Dreck of Beck, and Michelle Bachmann's stupid utterances accompanied with her really strange, vapid and pat-on-back-expecting-look-at-me-daddy false smiles. Pericles21's 2009 post  seems prescient about the GOP's Tea Party new clothes, it 'struck gold,' nay platinum, because then and especially now, the Republican Party's eagerness to win (willy-nilly anything, it seems) resulted in bastardizing itself into a Tea Party-ing cult of  imperfect face-actors and fascist ideologues. In 2009, the GOP set future frames for its ineffectual faux-ness by attacking the newly installed President Obama through violating standards of decency, ethics and journalistic professionalism. 

2009's Republican 'messaging', if it can be called that, was delivered by a core of right wing Fox News faces featuring Michelle Bachman ( ), Russ Limbaugh (Fox News uber-idol, recently deceased), Sean Hannity (Limbaugh's apparent successor, Trump pal) and others, notably Fox News' upstart face-man, Tucker Carlson. They still constitute the peanut gallery of American right wing shouters.

Now, twelve years later in April, 2021, we have the familiar Fox News crew from 2009, with some added accolytes and less a few attritioned members (essentially the same clown-faced, right wing actors) doing their 'same-old', now stridently attacking Obama's vice President, Joseph Biden, America's newly elected President (much to the relief of 75-83% of Americans). 

The Fox News gang have evolved their craziness with often 'off-planet-sounding' conspiracy scenarios that one would think can only come out of twisted and nearly ruined minds.

While 2021's Fox News gang yell out their conspiracy fantasies more stridently they are less believable because America has heard it before, and fell for the hype and elected the Tea Party poseur, Donald Trump. 

Trump's White House shift could be summarized as, 'What's in it for me, personally, money-wise, get that cash.... America was supposed to be my big ticket out of debt and be really, real rich ... I was supposed to lose the 'f..ing' election and make BANK ... somebody owes me! Chomp, chomp, good burger.'And, ' 'Pandemic? Who cares how many die, how can that be cash-converted... for me?'

Trump's deeply imprinted grift mentality and incompetencies while tinkering with reality (as POTUS) nearly caused America to have a truly big Fall but we were saved just in time by JOE  BIDEN'S SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AND ETHICS AND TEAM AND ... A  LOT MORE.  

 

2008 REVISITED? THEN IT WAS A NEW DEM PRESIDENT, AND THE MARKETS "BENT" THEMSELVES (OF COURSE) AND AMERICA DIDN'T MUZZLE THE SHORT-SELLERS

Hmmm, seems again it's time for the financial markets to don their short-sell cloaks, pull the drain plugs, incite market panic, ruin the image of pure market capitalism and along the way ruin common folks' dreams of fair play and maybe some small share of the action ... by short-selling America down the tube.  

But it needn't be that way if preventive will and planning are in place before panic happens.

Team Biden must be wary of the WS players, the 'wise guys', the Trump bedmates. Those who surf, or engineer market panic.

When the faintest signals are seen of market disturbance, Team Biden must act quickly, but deftly, to pre-empt, buffer and prevent run-away short-selling from panicking the financial markets. )  We've seen and learned so much useful stuff from Obama's economic rescue ...and from the dark side of the coin, the Trump years debacle!)

In March 2008, just after the Bush economic 'troubles' started and as Obama came into office, Pericles21 warned about the short-sellers, the perching vultures who are ever poised in the wings of human economic theater to swoop in on a struggling economy and guarantee its death by picking at its still-living heart and liver. 

Now, since early 2021, we hear whispers and rumors of another economic 'problem' perhaps coming. This time, the White House team should get ahead of the matter, announce they are monitoring the hedge funds' activities, and are keeping a close eye on Wall Street's short-selling movements (just in case of 'funny bizness' that might incite a market rout to the exits (but it needn't be stated that explicitly).

Do we already hear the rats below deck chewing the ropes on our renewed ship of state? Again, like in 2008, must we fail to do the right thing and stop the short-sellers before they wreck portfolios, bankrupt cities, and add another 2 trillion$ to the national debt? Or, shall we just go with the flow and it's 'What's to Worry, there's plenty more where the last 8-13 unplanned trillion$ came from.' 

Are the Repub-rats already at the gnaw? 

We laugh at wasting time talking about rigged elections and new voting regs as if they are the 'all' of Repub political tricks. But the signs of the real snarkling Repub demons are there in the derivatives - there's skullduggery afoot, and the sluice gates are a'jiggling, eager to let loose a sledge of smelly goop onto our naive public. 

This time around, the 'good guys' (Team Biden) must act quickly and firmly to pre-empt short-selling as soon as the market-tinkerers reveal themselves.  Europe was quick to stop the short sell trickery by muzzling the rats long-term while America waffled. HBS.

REPARATIONS: FAIR, DESERVED AND OVERDUE - BUT AMERICA MUST FACE IT'S RACIST BASE AND HISTORY OF 'PASSING' TO CARRY IT OUT.

REPARATIONS. This archived draft responded to a web article,  On Reparations, the Question Isn’t If, but When and How (Zenobia Jeffries Warfield, executive editor at YES! June 23, 2019).] Based on the complexity of determining by color who is African-American, after 400 years of Black-White mixing, modern DNA testing seems the way to base reparations, but this method will uncover a new 'problem' - a sizeable portion of so-called 'White' America potentially can be termed 'African-American' resulting from 400 years of hidden and increasingly accepted racial mixing. (By the colonial 'One Drop Rule', approximately 1/32 African-American heritage could define a 'White' person as Black even though looking White.) 

In America, 'Reparations' has almost exclusively applied to redressing the historically preserved deprivations and barriers to first-class citizenship imposed on African Americans, and practiced almost wholly on the basis of color, 'The Color Line.'  No other American minority has received this kind of artificially-defined exclusion.  

The Color Line still exists in many unofficial forms - chiefly housing and schools segregation but especially as informal pressures and penalties against racial (African-American and White) interactions especially 'intermarriage'. The informal Color Line remains in many forms as still the unofficial 'American Way'.  However, because the Color Line was in practice centuries before modern DNA testing, it relied on visual appearance and thus was porous to racial mixing. The result is the African-American population is visually broad in color (and belonging is often a matter of  choice). As for the American "White' population, the African-American sociologist, E Franklin Frazier, among others, estimated that since 1800, an annual average of 10,000 African-Americans newly crossed the Color Line to live as White.  

Reparations to redress slavery has been with America since Emancipation - Union General Tecumseh Sherman's Special Field Orders No. 15 (1865) contained the famous '40 Acres and A Mule' recommendation for freed slaves. But Sherman's proposal met political death so this question still lives but after more 150 years since Sherman of increasing racial mixiing, it has morphed into a very complex matter of 'who' is African-American, and what is enough African-American heritage to qualify for reparations, and for how much of a full reparations share.  Several researchers, thinkers, and writers have addressed this question in 20th and 21st century times - one of the most current and perhaps most popularly known is Harvard University's endowed Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr, host of "Finding Your Roots", a Public Broadcasting television Series (PBS) which entered its seventh season as of January 19, 2021. (Professor Gates nearly became a precursor to the murdered George Floyd when, in 2009, 'presumptive' police arrested him as he was entering his own home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.) Prior prominent researchers and scholars who have also contributed to this subject are sociologist Edward (E.) Franklin Frazier, the author James Baldwin, Langston Hughes (poet and author) ... and many others, poets, authors, scholars and 'doers'.

REGARDING REPARATIONS - this blogger's BIG QUESTION is: 

'AFTER 400 YEARS OF RACIAL MIXING, WE CAN'T SAY, IN TOTO, OR PRECISELY, OR BY WHAT MEASURES WHO IS OR ISN''T AFRICAN-AMERICAN ...  THIS QUESTION MUST BE ADDRESSED AS THE BASIS FOR A REPARATIONS PROGRAM.'

(DNA-test qualifying for reparations on a sliding scale would open the door for a surprisingly large portion of white America to step out of the racial closet in order to get their reparation share.)

One of the most challenging truths to answering this question is the impossiblity of drawing a sharp border between not only white from Black America, but even with the African-American community itelf there is a dynamic of color. Both of these considerations prevent a simple approach to identifying who is qualified to get reparations, or how much of a full share: 

AMONGST AMERICA'S AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY, THERE ARE LIKELY FAR FEWER 'FULL-BLOOD' AFRICAN-AMERICANS THAN POPULAR BELIEF (PREJUDICE?) EXPECTS! 

This logically suggests a reparation policy based on a scientific-rigorous 'scale'. A scale of color? Of DNA composition? Perhaps other scale variables we haven't thought of? 

The answers to these questions will not just affect America's African-American community - as identified as African-American but will also affect White Americans in ways not easily thought of. Why?  Because the determining scale variables used in America are based not on scientific criteria but on what is easily seen by the eye - color and easily distinguishable physical signs. And at some point on these scales, an African-American can easily 'pass' for any number of American sub-groups who are not currently discriminated against, including White, e.g., 'Mediterranean' is a common 'error' committed by mainstream 'white' America in misidentifying African-Americans. 

American mistreatment of its African-Americans as second-class human beings then as second-class citizens began with slavery in 1619 which evolved into thinking based on greed that slavers-as-property should be made into an inherited status, most profitably even inherited for generations, hence the 1662 'One Drop' rule (hypodescent). 

The one-drop rule existed in form even until 1985 when American hospitals stopped listing babies as Negro, Black, or White. 

No other American racial or nationality subgroup has been given such a permanent sub-status and scrutiny as America has imposed on African Americans by slavery, followed by de facto 'Jim Crow' laws and 'modern' systemic racism.

Being 'African-American' historically (hysterically, in hysterical American history) has almost exclusively been a matter of the eye ... combined with politics.

So what might be a formula, a means of determining, a qualifications scale for who gets reparations? 

And, as there are so few pure-blood African-Americans, yet who still retain enough characteristics to suffer visual discrimination, how much will a reparation be for less than 'pure blood'? 

DNA scale reparations? Uh, Oh! Now we've raised the ghost ... of deeds past and topics forbidden to be spoken of, namely:

THERE ARE MANY 'WHITE' PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO HAVE ENJOYED THE FULL SET OF PRIVILEGES DENIED TO AFRICAN-AMERICANS ... YET, BASED ON DNA, ARE AFRICAN-AMERICAN. SHOULD THEY RECIEVE A REPARATIONS SHARE?

This is perhaps the most problematic aspect of reparations in the American context. Why? Because money will test and hopefully break American racism. (The good old American 'solution' to all what ails the body and soul.) The perceived (and real) risk for a 'white' person and family to 'racially reveal' their racial legacy will be a 'medicine-made-easier-to-swallow' by rationalizing away color-based racism in order to get money. 

DNA-test qualifying for reparations will likely open the door for a surprisingly large portion of white America to step out of the racial closet.

Public sentiment based on the desire to participate in reparations ... in order to get a money share, will likely result in rationalizing away the stigmatization of African America in order to 'free' color-defined, white Americans to join the reparations queue.

Also, open-door registration for reparations will finally bring America to more willingly face its slavery history and legacy - the rape of Black female slaves, racial hate, and stigmatization.

Will there be DNA testing combined with the old standard ‘Paper Bag’ test for filtering current skin color ( the real-life American-color-gate leading from lower caste to full acceptance...as in the former apartheid South Africa who actually borrowed from the example of America's slavery system to design their own modern era apartheid system)? 

As many have pointed out, there needs to be first a national self-analysis and open discussion of America’s slavery and its not so long ago evil practices. Practices such as making it a crime to teach a slave to read and write, and for a slave to possess these skills.....and the lingering disposition in many states, even outside the former slave territories to continue, even until the 1960s (!}, a century after emancipation, to prohibit African Americans from attending ‘white’ colleges and universities. 

Then America has to face the reality that our substantial, national lagging behind other developed nations in such markers of ‘civil-ized’ societies such as health care for all and a national college subsidy program (some form of free college for all who desire and strive for higher education) ...our American foot-dragging, are significantly shaped by a lingering, post Reconstruction era focus on denying the descendants of formers slaves full citizenship. 

(From observations and listening on personal international travels, America seems to other nations to prefer to punish even its white (but needy) citizens if America can hold onto racially punitive institutionalized restrictions that were set up during slavery and preserved thereafter by legal code (Jim Crow segregated public institutions) and more subtle mechanisms such as social and entertainment media that promote, hence preserving, negative imagery’ of African-Americans and of Americans of color, generally. 

America needs to move ahead from those ‘chains’ made from its slavery history. 

Speaking the language of economic practicality which should not be the only measurement of modernization, but every American social innovation seems to eventually result in, or designed for, future monetary benefits (rather than improving quality of life or gaining national pride),  America is overdue to have a truly 100% national health care program like every other top-tier nation. This would seem to be a building block, a self-investment for future social stability and economic health (by lowering labor downtime costs). 

An affordable, national health care system will create a healthy, robust citizenry who are globally competitive; and it will create an industrially innovative America that will feed future growth. 

Additionally, our national health care program (for all and free) must be accompanied by a national college program designed for debt-free, higher education for all who wish to strive for that goal. 

America's old rationalizing of under-educated America by how easy it is to fill America's technical gaps by 'brain-draining' the engineers and scientists from foreign nations has seen its day. The globe began to resent this policy some time ago ... plus America has had problems assimilating this influx of job takers who home-grown Americans resent either deservedly or by American's own preferences to avoid technical education. (!!)

These are some of the destructive, weakening side effects America has created for itself by diverting so much of its soul and creativity to preserving 'slavery' in the form of discrimination and prejudice. America must move away from this posture so it can begin to be a true ‘democracy’ free of its shameful, slavery-based origins.

TRUMP’S CALLOUT FOR INSURRECTION ON JANUARY 6, 2021 - THAT FORTUNATELY FAILED

It’s being debated but let’s face it, on January 6, 2021, there was an attempted, insurrection takeover of the  democratically-elected American government that barely failed. 

The intended, forceful takeover of the American government wras inspired by Donald Trump  (as he inspired prior to the 2016 election) and attempted with planned (premeditated) kidnappings, torture and executions-by-gallows-hanging on the Capitol grounds just in front of Congress. 

Although not a successful insurrection, bad actions were perpetrated by Trump’s followers resulting in deaths, injuries, and stealing and destruction of government property.

And it all began months earlier with Donald Trump’s pre-emptive whining, echoed by Fox News and other right wing voices, about his  possible 2020 election loses that could only happen except by Democrat cheating and vote rigging - which course, Trump’s state and national supporters were surreptitiously already putting in place for his benefit. (All of these ‘moves’ Trump committed leading up to the 2020 election.). 

Therefore, by Trumpist ‘logic’, his supporters had to anticipate Democrat Party cheating and ‘betrayal’ and prepare to act to take back their rightful 2020 election win. 

Hence, prior to the 2020 election, Trump began a program of anticipatory preparation for insurrection - culminating in a post-election call out for a ‘wild’ gathering of Trump loyalists in Washington DC at the Capitol Hall of Congress, on January 6, 2021.

TRUMP’S CALL TO INSURRECTION - ‘LETS HAVE A ‘WILDING’’.!

Trump’s invitation to a “wild’ time at the Capitol was an unsubtle reference to the term “wilding” which has been for some decades a label attached to Trumpist-like mobs and translates  to ‘destructive running amok’ with unconcerned, deadly consequences for persons and property — hence the gallows constructed by the insurgents and the plastic wrist ties, the guns carried, the Molotov cocktails, the bombs cached at strategic locations nearby, the feces smeared on the walls of Congress, the urinating on the Capitol carpets and elsewhere, the ‘wilding’ insane shouting for Vice President Pence, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congressperson Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other elected offices to come out of hiding.  To summarize, as planned, there was an incited deadly rampage (a ‘Wilding’)  carried out by a deliberately inflamed, run-amok mob … whose actions were pre-meditated to capture and kill elected officials (the wrist ties, gallows and guns) whose election legitimacy had prior been confirmed by 60 unsuccessful court challenges. January 6, 2021, was a Trump-inspired Insurrection, with tressxpassing, destroying property, gunfire and killings ... that failed.
