THERE MAY BE MORE FBI ‘SEARCHES’ ON TRUMP-A-LAGO AND WHO MIGHT HAVE ASSISTED DONALD TRUMP? WHAT ABOUT INTELLIGENCE RISKS? TREASON?

The Perched Eye blog is 12+ years old,  from 2009 with President Obama's first term. Our focus has been eclectic ...  the ways and directions of American politics and culture, and occasionally summarizing the potential impact of new technologies. Pericles21's observations sometimes attract a critical eye, but the 'pen' remains unblunted.                                                                                                                                                                                  -------------------

The rumor is growing that there may be a second FBI search needed to remove additional classified, hidden, White House documents from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. And, the nature of those documents may be even more serious intelligence threats to American (and it’s allies') security. (The Washington Post's updated report states the August 8, FBI search was about classified documents pertaining to nuclear weapons.)

All of the "classified documents" mess precipitated by the August 8, 2022, FBI search of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate raises the thought that because, from reports while he was President, Donald Trump was not savvy enough to understand intelligence matters, nor even interested enough to attend in-depth intelligence briefings, he couldn't have, by himself, put together a plan to first of all, select, then to remove those documents.

(Note: as reported in the CIA's 4th edition of it's in-house academic center's book, Getting to Know the President (4th edition, October 2021), after the 2016 election, educating Trump-POTUS in the intelligence part of his presidential duties was always difficult and made additionally so because of Trump's  personally friendly take on Russian interests

Briefing Trump presented the Intelligence Community with the most difficult challenges it had ever faced.  Trump had publicly criticized CIA and the outgoing DNI and disparaged the substantive work and integrity of the intelligence agencies. In addition, the controversy over Russian interference in the 2016 election and Trump associates’ contacts with Russian officials heightened tension between the IC and the president-elect. After the inauguration, the briefings soon settled into a pattern: they were held only two or three times a week, Trump did not read the PDB closely if at all, and the briefers had to draw his attention to the most important issues.

(And, why hadn't the Secret Service objected at the time to the document removals? Who selected and loaded the documents into the boxes? Who carried the boxes to waiting trucks? Who eventually 'spilled the beans'? All of these steps, and more, seem beyond the attention span, and even the intelligence of Donald Trump to carry out.)

The logistics of the overall selection, boxing and removal to Mar-a-Lago 'says' involvement of complicit third parties - intelligence-knowledgable, able bodied, complicit third parties who assisted-guided-instructed Trump to select and remove those 27 (now 27+) boxes of classified documents. (Note: just one classified document in a box makes the whole box 'classified' until culled and cleared by appropriate American intelligence bodies.)

IMO, the complicit third party to the removal of boxes of classified materials from the White House to Mar-a-Lago must be ‘friends’, assets or representatives (agents) of foreign states operating against American interests!

The bottom line question that will probably appear from the fog is ‘has Donald Trump indeed been an active asset-in-place operating in the interests of an enemy foreign state, i.e., Russia? And, from what time period before he came into the White House has might Donald Trump have been a foreign intelligence asset?' Will "treason" appear again in Donald Trump's 'interactions' with, and leanings toward Russia?

THE 'JAN6' INSURRECTION INVESTIGATIONS: DONALD TRUMP'S PLAN TO TAKE OVER THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT BEGAN WITH THE POSTAL SERVICE'S DESTRUCTION OF MAIL SORTING MACHINES AND THE PICK UP AND DESTRUCTION OF HUNDREDS OF LETTEDROP-OFF BOXES...FOLLOWED BY THE INSURRECTION ATTEMPT OF JANUARY 6, 2021...AND HERE WE ARE

Donald Trump's multi-component conspiracy plan to hold onto power had many pieces that depended on key Trump-appointed role players, heading key government agencies, who were to enact new policies, or directly act, to obstruct and terminate the lawful transfer of power to a possibly new political administration outcome of the 2020 presidential election. If visibly legal means to stop the electoral process didn't work, then the plan was to have an insurrection grab of power by a pre-organized mob that would invade the halls of Congress and stop the January 6, 2021, Congressional formal 'certification' of the Electoral College Ballots.

The Jan6 insurrection plan seems to have been copied from one of Trump's rare book readings, and political heroes, Mein Kampf, written by Adolph Hitler during his 1923-24 imprisonment in Germany for treason and sedition attempt to overthrow Germany's democratic Weimar Republic.

Trump's attempt to take over the election process was (and remains) a well-imagined and dangerous plan whose structure and players remain in place because of the due process legal protections in the American Constitution. Memories of Weimar?

The continuation of the Trump presidency (in one form or another) depended on the success of several components and multiple players playing their part in a plan that depended on the coordination among many agencies and a bag load of key co-conspirators and emergency appointees.

The Trump Plan was to compromise key government agencies such as the Dept of Homeland Security (DOJ and Secret Service head and agents), and other agencies - following a template of presidential replacement of department heads who would initiate agency changes although legitimate would nevertheless obstruct or call into question voting access and ballot certification across the country. As designed, the plan appeared to be within the legal powers of Trump's presidential authority.

Trump's plan depended on cooperation (collusion) from compromised federal and state agencies and actors ...including Homeland Security, DOJ, Secret Service, and Congress itself; and also depending on the 'cooperation' (collusion) of state governors, attorneys general, legislators, etc.

A key target in that plan was and remains the US Postal Service. Trump planned to defund the postal service in order to obstruct and slow down the November voting and election process by impairing the US Postal Service's capability to handle the flow and volume of postal items on election day. The plan apparently began with the May 16, 2020, appointment of Trump donor, Louis DeJoy. DeJoy began removing and destroying mail sorting machines and hundreds of postal drop-off boxes which Trump openly touted as his favored postal service measure designed to eventually lead to eliminating mail-in voting in as many states as possible. This program was apparently halted just before the election, but it was seen as too late by many...plus it was resumed after the election so that the slowdown to the election process will continue in magnified form for 2024.

Especially critical to the Plan were the quickly installed new heads of DHS, DOJ, the Secret Service,(and SS agents themselves), and other Trump appointees who (with some few exceptions) then were to play their assigned roles in a pre-planned 'strategy' of obstruction and delay of the Electoral College Count on January 6, 2021.

The Jan6 House Select Investigation Committee is revealing more and more about Trump's plan to continue his presidency beyond January 20, 2021, through a multi-component conspiracy.

Trump's role in the Plan was a key one....which was to incite a January 6 mob to 'invade' the Capitol building and stop the formal count of the Electoral College ballots after which Trump was to step up to declare a national emergency and with endorsement from his congressional loyalists he would continue as President...for...let's say, for an extended period of time to be determined., although starting out 'pro-tem'.

If the mob failed to 'remove' (incapacitate or kill ..." by hanging") VP Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, then compromised secret service agents were to move ('kidnap', accidently kill?) Pence to an isolated, emergency (secret) location so then Trump's congressional proxies (eg McConnell, Gohmert, Gaetz, Grassley, Graham, etc) would/could legitimately stop the electoral ballot count, declare the ballots questionable and call for a re-election. Then Trump would hold an emergency televised appearance from the White House (where he anxiously cheered on the insurrection mob) to declare martial law...leading to the suspension of the electoral process.

Trump would then announce from the White House, that evening, a plan worked out (beforehand?) with his congressional loyalists (and the Supreme Court?) to continue in office pro-tem perhaps in increments of 3 months...but once the plan was in operation, there would be every opportunity, certainly, the purpose, to make permanent the emergency suspension of the transfer of power.

But the Proud Boys failed to achieve their part, the insurrection, and the Secret Service failed to get Pence into 'that' car, so the Electoral College count was formalized, and the transfer of the presidency occurred.

This left a big (and dangerous) problem for the insurrectionists: EVIDENCE OF THE INSURRECTION PLAN HAD TO BE ERASED, AND EVIDENCE OF THE ERASURE ITSELF HAD TO BE COVERED UP IN HOPES THAT IT WOULD ALL DIE AWAY AFTER BIDEN TOOK OVER. (

IMO, this hope that 'it would all fade away and be forgotten, was a very reasonable assumption knowing the tendency of the media to forget everything after a standard news cycle - in this case not more than several weeks and certainly not six months, nor the year that it took for DHS to inform Congress that the Secret Service text messages around Jan 6, 2021, had been erased ('legitimately') during a transparent, though irregular, Jan 5-7, wipe of DHS computers and Secret Service agents' personal cell phones. This was carried out. But even though not 'uncovered' until more than a year later, The Jan6 Investigation Committee is energetically examining the intricate workings of Trump's Plan to illegally continue in office..

The Trump Insurrection Plan has sneaky-thinking, 'idea-men' Steve Bannon and Roger Stone written all over it. But it seems that Bannon, Stone, and the other co-conspirators didn't figure on the Jan6 Investigation Committee being enacted, being serious, being impartial...having integrity., and above all being loyal to the nation rather than to an individual.

But Trump loyalists and insurrection planners then quickly reacted with another plan to neutralize the Jan6 House Select Investigation Committee - by attempting to seed the Jan6 Committee with pro-Trump members such as Jordan, Gaetz, etc. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi quickly saw through that and took steps to select her own bi-partisan panel. who have carefully unstrung the ball of threads Trump and his u..and viola the curtains on the insurrection plan are being drawn aside with increasing speed...revealing a rotten core of insurrectionists and ungloving the fine handiwork of Bannon, Stone, and Trump himself (and others).

TRUMP & TRUMPISM, FROM A DISTANCE: WE NEED TO OWN UP TO OUR OWN MISTAKE

The Perched Eye blog is 12+ years old,  from 2009 with President Obama's first term. Our focus has been eclectic ...  the ways and directions of American politics and culture, and occasionally summarizing the potential impact of new technologies. Pericles21's observations sometimes attract a critical eye, but the 'pen' remains unblunted.

-----

Donald Trump. For all our sake, it would be nice if we could just throw Trump back into the shark tank he came from and as a country just curl up in some quiet corner to lick America’s wounds from Trump’s rampages through the White House and American political history. (Trump did so much damage....,it's hard to forgive but we could ban  him from running for any public office … ever again...to his and our benefit. We owe this to ourselves, and in a way, to Trump.)

Let’s keep in mind that America (we were all, in some way at least curious) wanted to see what a businessman could do as president. We felt businessmen had an inside track on how to get things done because after all their rich lives, multiple homes, and yachts are earned and sustained by sharp eyed focus and cany insight to bottom line actions… we've heard.

So we got (elected? maybe) Trump who most of us wanted to see apply those supposedly awesome ‘business moves’ to solve America’s problems.

And we didn’t have to wait long to see Trump apply his impressive television “Apprentice” mojo to running America…and he did a real job on America, and on Americans. Trump nearly ran America into ruin in a random-walk presidency of self-interest, greed, smoke-and-mirrors, con-man slickness, and maybe even treason.

Trump was America's "Big Sellout." Trump made America into a grifter's buffet. Trump saw the presidency as a 'magic hat' that made people bow.  America was Trump's open sesame and he was awful.

Within weeks after his inauguration, Trump revealed himself to be frighteningly inappropriate.

Working with Trump as president was like trying to put a leash on a rattlesnake for a walk in the park…not working.

Trump is a middle feeder from a tank of sharks…not the best like Rex Tillerson, nor the worst, but still an atrocious fit. BUT WE ELECTED TRUMP ...SO IN A WAY WE OWE HIM...SOMETHING.

TRUMP wasn't serious about becoming President. He wanted revenge, the free advertising to be used for other money-making projects and to impress with a title on the mantlepiece.

And Trump didn’t even know or much care about American history, especially Constitutional history. He thought the White House was just a pad with “old furniture” that he wanted to replace with “modern stuff”.  Trump's wife was equally misplaced and showed it. And his daughter thought “Senior Advisor” was a kind of Disney role where she could hawk her clothing brand and get market advantages…like in China.

Trump's ransacking sprint through the presidency was a sad, sad moment for America. Kinda wish we could not send Trump to prison or relegate him to a laughable history bookmark. Like a middle-feeder carp, I wish for all our sake, we could just throw Trump back into the shark tank he came from and we could curl up in peace to lick America’s wounds from his rampage.

THE TRUMP YEARS - AN OVERVIEW (1/3)

This blog will be twelve (12) years old this Spring 2021 ... it began with the 2009 first term of President Barack Obama. President Obama was followed in 2016 by Donald Trump (a single term). Trump lost a try at a second term in the 2020 election to Joseph Biden, Obama's Vice President. (Sigh of relief ... Trump is gone!)

NOTE: Democrats have won the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections since 1992!

Perhaps the most significant aspect of those twelve years was the opportunity to compare two presidents of historical significance and of radically contrasting executive styles. Obama is the first president of color (Africa-American) and Trump is a businessman elected in hopes of applying business management and economics to solve some of America's challenges in the face of the global economy and domestic needs. (Trump failed in both respects.)

To this blogger, the best summary of the past 3 terms of American presidencies is the great exhale of held breath since Donald Trump became President. The last four years have been a day-to-day test of one's sanity in the face of Trump's seemingly ever-full bag of chaos and confusion which he threw widely and at any target that struck his fancy.

Now, under the Biden presidency, America can go forward under experienced, competent, and stable leadership.

This is this blogger's summary of what was actually going on under Trump. The details will be revealed in time.

First, was Trump a traitor or, somewhat naively, just a Russian intelligence asset-in-place? (This blogger wrote in May 2016, before the following November election, that Trump had already committed "treason" with Russia.)

Second, was/is Trump wealthy or simply agile with shady accounting, gangster accomplices, faked financial forms, complicit bank executives ... i.e.,  actually a con-artist? (This blogger has consistently favored 'con artist'.)

Third, was/is Trump a racist, misogynist wreck of a man.  We saw evidently that Trump has always been both.

In any case, Trump's policy decisions seemed guided by two consistent themes - what was good for Putin, Russia's leader, and what was good for lining the personal pockets of Trump and his family. Two simple and straightforward guides that seemed always accurate interpreters of Trump's actions and thoughts while President. He really was just a simple guy, after all. But a businessman he was and is not. Trump is more of an out-of-his-depth, 'Mom-and-Pop' corner grocery store single proprietor who can barely find his way o get his next fast-food burger (to which he is addicted). This is not intended to be funny, it is the truth about Trumps as far as we know or can politely speak on.

However, again, here we are this day relieved with the 'Fact' that Trump was voted out of office and America is free to go forward. and recover its sanity.

THE AMERICAN CIRCUS - STARRING PUTIN’S PUPPET, ‘D TRUMP’

We are now in final weeks before the 2020 presidential election and by now, we should have learned to expect any, and every bizarre trick that Trump could conjure to disrupt, corrupt, steal, delay or nullify that election.

A major factor in Trump’s ‘trick bag’ is perhaps not entirely his own to control. This factor is Trump’s backer (or ‘puppet master’, Russia, i.e., Vladimir Putin... arguably one and the same).

                     (foto courtesy of palmerreport.com, August 13, 2020)

Robert Harrington writes in today’s “PalmerReport” blog  his views about the ‘curiously close’ (some say ‘treasonous’) ‘friendship‘ and mutual support alliance between Donald Trump, America’s current president, and Vladimir Putin, the Russian ‘leader-for-life’ (Donald Trump, the Russian President, Palmerreport.com. August 13, 2020). Harrington further opines:

“I don’t see how America can survive four more years of a Trump presidency.”

This blogger, Percles21, felt alarm about a Trump-Putin shady pairing from its first pre-election signs in June 2016, (perhaps years earlier?) when Trump, and family, had a series of one-on-one meetings with Putin and Russian officials... without the presence of independent, verifying American witnesses. The meetings‘ attendees were close family and associates who were still operating as members of Trump’s business operations.

(And well after Trump’s inauguration date, Trump’s family members continued https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artI-S9-C8-1/ALDE_00001096/their dual (conflicted) roles as business operatives in the Trump enterprises yet also as Trump-appointed White House advisors with top level security clearances.)  This blurring of the line between Trump’s business interests and the policy integrity of the Presidency looked like clear and perhaps deliberate violations of the US Constitution’s Emoluments Act”, they are in that respect another blog subject.

For this blog’s focus, those clandestine (closed-off) meetings seemed to paint another picture - the appearance of ‘treason’. And, those meetings set the stage for others like them after the election and inauguration.

Back to Robert Harrington’s article cited at the start of this post: Harrington emphasizes the somewhat constant and strong ‘odor‘ hinting that Putin, the Russian ‘leader’, has some kind of ‘hold’ on Donald Trump.

Harrington writes:

“I call him the Russian President because that’s what he is. Trump exists as an extension of Vladimir Putin’s will, ...and will always remain ‘Putin’s Poodle’.

Putin...delights in his puppet mastery of Trump and the chaos Trump has sown in America.
Putin knows that another four years of Trump will mean the end of America as a world power. And I think he’s right.”

Again, Harrington’s opinion of the Putin-Trump pairing: We are now in the final weeks before the 2020 Presidential election and, knowing from more than four years observation how erratic Trump can be, there are no boundaries that Trump might push or exceed to be re-elected.

“I don’t see how America can survive four more years of a Trump presidency.”

We are now in the final weeks before the 2020 Presidential election and, knowing from more than four years observation how erratic Trump can be, there are no boundaries that Trump might push or exceed to be re-elected.

A Matter of Perception, or Continuance of Obfuscation?: the Inner Conflicts of American Democracy -Transparency vs. Efficiency

There was a recent article in Politico (Jan 15, 2020) about the pros and cons, and to what degree, of restricting access of the press to the Senate impeachment trial of President D Trump. The Republican head of Senate (actively pro-Trump), Senator Mitch McConnell, favors strict access restriction while the Democrat Senators and House ''plaintiffs' favor open, transparent hearings with more witness allowances and more press access.  All of this seems to resemble the beginning of a Constitutional conflict much resembling, to Pericles21, the pro-States Rights (and defense of slavery) arguments from John C Calhoun in the early (1820s) days of the American republic.

Pericles21 sees a commonality with both the current Senate arguments for strict constitutionality protection of audience limits on the impeachment press attendance and the 1830s States Rights debates led by John C. Calhoun (South Carolina).

The commonality is both the 1800s Calhoun-led debate over States' Rights (a century ago!) and the current 2020, McConnell-led debate over limiting the presence of the press in the Senate impeachment trial involve hidden agendas.

(And what's with South Carolina which seems to so reliably and regularly spawn wreckers of public calm and potentially the nation itself?)

In the case of States Rights, the debate was superficially about the rights of American States; the real debate was about slavery - whether to continue and protect slavery or move towards emancipation.

The hidden agenda in the current debate over limiting the press attendance in the Senate trial of President Trump,  and influencing nearly all post-2016 election Republican Party behavior, is 'Kompromat' (blackmail in American 'lingo') - whether Trump is guilty of treasonous acts and policy resulting from Russian 'Kompromat'.

Underneath it all, the article adds to a picture of how the Republican party's general political philosophy, intentions, and actions since the 2016 election especially have been antithetical to the Constitution's goals that stress open government operating in the public interest and guided by a healthy free press. In this respect, the question from the Senate Republicans was whether the presence of the press would disrupt the trial. The Democrat perspective hs been the press would help keep the Senate to an open (read 'transparent' and honest) track in the trial of Donald Trump.

As background to establish the aims of the Republicans in the impeachment trial, the Senate Republicans, under the 'leadership' of Mitch McConnell, publicly vowed to effect a predetermined outcome which is to throw out the House impeachment and exonerate of Trump. To achieve this result, the Senate made moves to prevent the House Democrats, whose body had voted to impeach Trump, from fully presenting their case for convicting Trump by heavily 'editing' what witnesses, and how many, the Dems could bring forth to testify against Trump. These Republican moves and similar obstructions starting soon after Trump's inauguration contributed to the primary impeachment points the House successfully brought against Trump.

The visible Senate Republican animosity towards the American press, and by default against transparency in government, has been palpable throughout the Trump campaign and the 3 years so far into the first term.  This is the Trumpists' banner so perfectly summarized in the invention of 'fake news' and 'alternative facts' so quickly played against any critical questioning of the Trump presidency.

Pericles21 interprets the Republican use of 'fake news' and 'alternative facts' as 'blocking' devices (sophomore debate tricks) thrown out with deliberate cynicism to obfuscate, divert and kill any and all investigations into Trump, his campaign and conduct in office.

Pericles21 further believes the Republicans' use of these and other obfuscation tricks cover up a dark picture of Russian influence, through Russian Kompromat, over the 2016 presidential election and continuing to influence the actions and policies of Trump himself, with the overt assistance of the Republican Senate and from the House (at least until the reversing 2018 Congressional elections made Democrats the controlling party in the House).

Russia's Kompromat influence over Trump (notably, but not exclusively, the Steele Dossier) is 'blackmail material' which was brought out before the 2016 election but has been left out of the impeachment picture. although directly 'thrown' up by Speaker Pelosi's statement that with Trump, "all roads lead to Putin" {Vladimir Putin, Russia's leader].

Trump's 'transgressions' during his compromised campaign and in his term in office so far present an unbroken trail of treason or near-treason, but certainly impeachable conduct.

Some day, Trump and Russian Kompromat will have to be uncovered. One hopes that American governance (bi-partisan) will learn from the lesson with the Trump debacle.

‘Not, Not, Who’s There?’ The ‘Report’ (Maybe, or Maybe Not)

‘Not, Not, Who’s (Not?) There ? The ‘Report’, maybe. Mr. Mueller exits leaving the public and Congress with the responsibility, rare in these days of infomercials and manufactured ‘news’, to read for ourselves his novel-length Report and to make our own conclusions. We don’t seem up to this task despite intricate, but precise, details. But Mr Mueller left crumbs for the mice to both nibble on and lead us. However, the Report’s deliberate and maybe over-cautious style, though probably required when authoring such a report under a dictatorship. And, like the political satirists of previous times (Voltaire, de Foe, not Mencken....) Mueller seems to have employed his own disguising style, the use of the double negative ‘Not, Not’ to present his conclusions. That subtlety appears to be beyond the interpretive skills for the American public and its Congress. Yet the answer is already there ... in the style of the Report’s conclusions: by logic rules, the double negative ‘Not, Not’ equates to an affirmative...which leads to this reader’s conclusion that ‘obstruction” did occur, is now occurring and Will continue unless stopped...by Congress. As for Collusion, conspiracy and treason, how can one Not come to the same affirmative conclusions in the face of so much associative detail (damming but “insufficient” evidence, again a seeming disguise of the affirmative, ...with so much foreign agent traffic in and out of the White House and so many private meetings with same agents hidden from the public and even from WH staff? A well-known 70s song aptly describes our dilemma - “...what’s puzzling you is the nature of the game.” As for the ‘Game’, we know what’s come into the White House.

The Fate of Capitalist Nations: America and Britain Have Lost Important Battles but Maybe Losing the War IS Not Yet Clear

There are three 'logical' endpoints that are debatably inevitable for a capitalist nation. One, the logical endpoint of historical colonization is currently exampled by America, Britain, France and Germany who are experiencing the consequences of foreign population flow-back from colonized markets to the colonizer because the colonizer became dependent on cheap labor to 'man' the low wage, but essential, manual and service jobs at the bottom of the economic pyramid. (Rome saw this happen.)

All of these top-of-the-pyramid nations have discovered that it is difficult or impossible to control the back-flow of cheap labor from exploited, foreign labor markets to the homeland exploiter. Thus, despite the immediate historical profits from exploited foreign markets, eventually there have come high social and as well economic costs to the exploiting homelands -created by cultural-linguistic incompatibilities prolonged and strengthened by segregation, needed health services, and education and skills gaps in general.

The problems to the home country of adapting foreign market population back-flow, are exacerbated by a kind of problem-solving paralysis deriving from the homeland's need to 'obey' democratic-philosophic principles that dictate costly humane solutions when the directness of behavior as in the foreign exploited markets would be more efficient, i.e., less costly, less humane and quicker actions. This built in self-paralysis has made it impossible control foreign market population back-flow both legally through immigration laws or via natural blocks such oceans and artificial blocks like walls.

But mostly making it resistive to control foreign population back-flow are the strong pressures and rewards for illegal immigration by the needs to fill low paid domestic service jobs (in hotels, restaurants, private homes, health clinics, etc) and likewise in low wage roles in industries such as the agri-business sector.

The major former colonizers are now less 'whip and chain' masters but still exploitive colonizers!

Overall, the former colonial 'masters, have found it difficult or impossible to control (much less to block) back-flow of native populations for at least two reasons:

One, refusal of immigration from exploited markets violates the democratic principle of 'fairness and equality' that
is shared by these nations.

Two, and perhaps the most important problem for the homeland, the internalizing by foreign populations of the same
democratic self-identity badges that unify (and help to pacify) the home land populations.

Once foreign, cheap labor begin to internalize the same narrative used to keep domestic populations in check, 'whip and chain' controls become unsustainable in the same way as narrated and revered in the history of the homelands.

This self-contradiction of messaging constitutes a built-in self-destruction button at the breast of the colonizer and is the core reason for the historical and current fragility of the colonizer-colonized relationship. And, this fragility increases as countervailing forces develop against exploitative capitalism as international ethical standards evolve (to the dismay of the capitalist).

In a perfect capitalist world of free, unregulated and ethically unhindered markets, the logical endpoint is concentration of all wealth and assets at the upper stratum, the 1 percent. (This is the free-market, finite-sum game-theoretical model of successful business management that is the guide and goal for every hungry, aggressive capitalist.. no mater how strong a protest.

But in a real world, such total concentration of wealth and the efforts to achieve that goal, are guaranteed to create social resistance and eventually lead to a path ending in society's self-destruction.

We seem now arrived at the logical endpoints of free market capitalism with disruptive consequences of a perceived scarcity of 'Goods' at lower economic strata mainly exampled by a scarcity of employment income presumed by competition in a zero-sum economy from illegal immigration.

Our economy is not a zero-sum situation but where did this perception come from? That is a question to be secondarily answered perhaps, along the way to thinking up and planning for new industries and subsidizing new, spring-board technologies.

Never the less, our society's 'Hoi Polloi' have become disaffected as there is no longer a frame of reference where they are 'superior' to a social stratum below themselves thus removing the intangible but crucial ego support (a virtuality paycheck) that makes their own poverty palatable.

The capitalist knows this and through influencing government (lobbying) has constructed complex systems of social codes and strata-segregation rules and laws to appease the lower masses and thus imprison them in their own, ego sustained world of false, prejudicial rewards - artificial (intangible) wealth that 'buys' nothing and doesn't compete with the capitalist who is busy accumulating real wealth.

The third consequence of a free-market capitalist society is that the wealthiest capitalist is seen as the most eligible to govern; but this is a fallacy because the most successful capitalist is by definition the most focused on maximizing the bottom line, P&L, which requires the most effort to distance oneself from emotions linked to people and society (and even national loyalties).

Thus, the most successful capitalist, operating from the pure business model, is by definition the least suited for, and capable of, husbanding the 'Common Good'. G

Good historical examples of pure free market capitalists are current cultural heroes, Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Beard and kin. The most successful capitalist is the most vicious pirate, the most blood thirsty jungle predator desirous of a world of unregulated commerce and business operation where 'business' has the pure objective to make wealth without being weighed down by any societal considerations, even consumer safety and benefit except as unintended fall-out (eg, "Trickle Down"). The mindset of the capitalist must be the accumulation of ALL wealth, motivated by the anxiety of viewing the economic world as a finite, zero-sum game.

In this context, as examples, both Trump and Romney are 'successful' , or at least 'worthy' businessmen although they collectively accumulated wealth by treasonous and corporate-cannibalistic 'just business' behavior. In their business life, and certainly Trump in his personal life, both followed societally destructive paths that endangered jobs and national security.

One might say (certainly this commenter can say it) that any nation that calls itself a 'democracy' should exclude these gentlemen, and their brethren, as candidates for top governance positions.

But admittedly, such exclusion, which is beneficial to protecting the Common Good is by definition difficult, inadvisable or impossible in a democracy … especially once the capitalist has succeeded in legally redefining capitalist elements such as corporations from bloodless, paper-boundaried legal structures to personhood with the same rights as flesh and bone people, (viz,. Citizens United).

The result of such dilution of a nation's democratic principles will inevitably be, as it is now become in both the cases of Britain and America, a chaotic, dysfunctional, internally disturbed, directionless and self-destroying state (State)... even without the aid of an external enemy.

This vulnerability makes it easier for an intervention by an external enemy through bullet-less means (unconventional warfare). Both Britain and America are experiencing and losing, subtly-fought unconventional warfare with similar outcomes - social and political self-disruption without enemy boots setting foot. Such is the fate of former, and current colonizers who perfected empirical foot-ship-and-air armies.

In the cases of both America and Britain, the common unconventional 'weapon' used to invade and conquer them has been Russia's legal use of social media (capitalist uber-products) to 'capture-and-manipulate' the minds, i.e., voting preferences, of homeland populations. Russia's weapon of choice was through contracting services from Cambridge Analytical (an internet data corporation) to accumulate and exploit web-user data. These were successful projects as demonstrated by the election of Donald Trump (with his announced goal of possible exiting from NATO), and Britain's Prime Minister May's intent, at all costs, of exiting the European Union ('BREXIT'). Both objectives successes have brought along wild social and political tides and involved direct treason , through the Trump-Putin 'collaboration'. In both cases, these two colonizer homelands (Britain and America) were caught unprepared for unconventional, bullet-less warfare. More, they were blind to the fact they were even at 'war' involving Russia's 'soft' weans such as cyber data 'bullets' and treason hidden in the weeds of the global market and electronic banking systems.

The Rigging of the 2016 Election: Was American Intelligence Just Flummoxed by the Audacity of Trump and Russian Hacking, and Paralyzed by Jurisdictional Compartmentalizing (Self-Interest ), And/ Or Has American Democracy Operated Successfully But Against Itself

PREFACE:
Pericles21 believes that in the 2016 election process, America was attacked and conquered by a known, long term and actively detrimental declared enemy state, Russia, in a modernized, non-shooting, non-bombing war largely without America knowing of the war going on or how to respond (e.g., FBI Director Comey's seeming indecision about what to do about Apparent Russian interference and relationship with the Trump campaign the spring and summer 2016).

Pericles21 also believes that since losing that 2016 war, the American public remains confused, overwhelmed by the sophistication that requires a new vocabulary in attendance to the digital world of networks, cryptology, cyber-intelligence, second and third degree crowd-behavior influencing (cyber-social networking nudging), 'cutouts' and good old fake proxies. What a fine world we Americans have naively lived and loved in for at least 40 years. But, 'Hey' if there is one good thing we Americans do well is to continue a good thing and 'naivete' feels so good (and 'Roseanne' is on tonight so don't bother us), so we will try our best to continue to exist in a fine state of denial assisted with a little OxyContin and Beer. We will do our best to maintain behind the wall of ignorance of the sophisticated, non-traditional ways our own culture was attacked, penetrated, taken over and then weaponized against us. What a 'thing'!

BLOG PRIMARY (A little late maturing in a daily amazed and increasingly scared blogger's mind):
The above 'Preface' is a point of view reflected in John Schindler's thorough and sobering article in the 'Observer' ('Here’s How the FBI Investigation Into Russia and Trump Campaign Actually Started', May 28, 2018)
America was outclassed and outfought on a battlefield that had no soil, no water no air. America's educational priorities, or rather, 'de-emphases' away from real science, science rationality, mathematics and cyber education all combined to help defeat us. (America's commodified, comercial-prioritized culture also played a key role in 'plumping', desensitizing our national awareness to being attacked as Russian agents posing as business players walked freely in plain sight along America's streets.)

Also, that 2016 war we just lost, was an asymmetric war - America was attacked but did not (could not?) respond.
Instead of shooting bullets, America's enemy saw and used vulnerable leverage-points in America's own culture - our hugely popular (and influencing) social websites and our mostly right-wing, loud and inciting, emotionally histrionic 'news' venues that claim 'entertainment' status when confronted with factual challenges to their 'news'. In this regard, Russia's weapons of choice were signally, Facebook and Fox News (especially in the latter, the loud, emotionally strident views of Sean Hannity who has been outed as having a discarded mistress, a hook into Tump's dark shade Fixer 'Lawyer' and perhaps even a nipple at. he belly of the ever nurturing )of greedy piglets) Grand Sow, the collective group of Russian oligarchs munching and slurping on the rich far East provinces of the former USSR, all under the watchful eye of the Great Boar himself, Grand Uncle Vladimir.

In that 2016 war America just lost, our huge military budget ($700 Billion asked this year) and advanced war machines were useless. Our 'advanced', decadently expensive, evolved but still essentially traditional weapons we are so proud of sat idle and irrelevant.

COMMENTARY:
Pericles21 believes that American intelligence agencies and politicians, and a large portion of America's general population, who are still scratching their heads about the surprising 2016 election of Donald Trump (aka 'RICO Dedito'), were and remain naive about the re-shaping of warfare and the increasingly clear alliance between Russia (along with other other national interests) and Donald Trump. Americans are also in denial of how Russia used non-traditional warfare to take control of and 'guide' that election through sophisticated cyber-invasion techniques ('hacking') and equally sophisticated manipulation of American voting predispositions. And we are recently become aware of the compromising of America's right wing (Trump supporters)'entertainment' icons, e.g., Sean Hannity.

But not only America's general population were caught unaware of or frozen in the headlights of the Russian attack. America's intelligence defenders seem equally naive not to have expected that America would one day be 'attacked' with the same indirect, non-exposive 'weapons we have been using to accomplish regime change in critical foreign areas for the past 100 years (the sinking of the battleship 'Maine', the many interferences in the mid-East, Indo China, Africa, South America, etc).

When the compromising relationship between Trump and Russia apparently became clear by early 2016, it appears the FBI and the NSA were restricted or delayed in non-interfering (read 'noon-cooperative') stasis by, in retrospect, our Congress's somewhat naive imposition onto the FBI and NSA of jurisdictional hegemony and a administratively old school (Prussian?) perspective that prioritizes non-interfence if not competitive relationships between these intelligence realms.

It is not surprising, therefore, that this intelligence infrastructure of easily administrated (by un-informed elected officers), clean boundaried and separate jurisdictions should fail America in the face of not only increased vulnerabilities of electronic digital communications and networks but the accelerating expertise in penetrating (cyber-hacking) inadequately protected systems.

Opinion. America's inattention to, and/or lack of committed (loyal), deeply trained, expertise to develop cyber defenses and protect America's potential, 'Multi-Front vulnerabilities in our culture as well as our digital systems, has led to a gross vulnerability of American social and cyber systems to penetration, take over and psychological manipulations. We saw that happen in the 2016 election.

-------
Work in progress but the above had to come out or be next week (July 10, 2018)irrelevant

that outcome, were and remain naive about world political realities and the non-traditional forms of warfare that have been written on for centuries (e.g., Lao Tsu's and Mao's 'Little Red Book')

A clear, if not concise article by John Schindler in the Observer [May 28, 2018,'Here’s How the FBI Investigation Into Russia and Trump Campaign Actually Started', May 28, 2018]
https://observer.com/2018/05/what-did-the-fbi-do-in-2016-about-russian-connections-to-donald-trump/

[Personal: Comey (FBI Director) and NSA couldn’t grasp how Trump, a candidate for President, could do such a thing?]

SUMMY: (NSA & FBI: ““ By mid-July 2016 We knew we had a Russian agent on our hands,”

The FBI-NSA investigation of Donald Trump was kicked off by …routine SIGINT reports..from America’s foreign friends before 2016.

2015: Britain’s NSA’s routine surveillance detected suspicious ‘interactions’ between Trump associates and Russian agents.
Britain passed this info to the U.S. as part of their routine exchange of information.”
Late 2015 and into 2016: NSA’s other intell friends ( Australia, Germany, Estonia, and Poland) all reported interactions between Trump and Moscow.
So, too, did the French and the Dutch—the latter being an especially savvy SIGINT partner of NSA’s.
2016: different foreign agencies targeting the same people began to see a pattern of connections that were given to U.S. FBI
2016: In response to FBI urgency, NSA rose to the occasion, and
by mid-July 2016, “We knew we had a Russian agent on our hands,”

Hannity as Today's Goebbels?

The recent (April 16, 2018) unveiling (here , here, here, and my favorite, Rachel Maddow's analysis and readings of court proceedings that unveiled Hannity) of Sean Hannity as the previously 'cloaked' (hidden) 3rd Client of mob-connected, Trump (and RNC) Fixer of embarrassing situations is highly embarrassing to Dedito (Trump) and the Republican Party whose national deputy chairs all are now seen to be linked by a common thread. That common thread looks to be confined to making relations with former porn stars and models go way ...by payoffs perhaps with political campaign money, suspect non-disclosure agreements and thuggish night-visitations with threats of bodily harm.

This is surreal comedy on one hand, but the descent into the murk gets really dark when Russian intelligence (the Fixer-Lawyer Cohen's cigar buddies) join the scene. And to take it all to the bottom, Dedito's (slavish bootlicking of Russia and especially Putin's ego) looks really like not only does Dedito know Putin more than what America, or Trump's wife, would like, but it's becoming more clear by the day that Putin has Dedito not only by his little twisted fingers but his little cojones.

The picture coming out, to this blogger, is of a masterful scheme to break America by gaining control of America's constitutional estates - the chief executive by Constitution (but which has morphed into an infallible kingship in the minds of many Americans especially the religious right), the courts (the obstructions of Obama appointees by the Republican Congressional majority), the press (thru the 'hard-right' media with entertainers like Sean Hannity, and with hard right media entertainment 'news' like Fox News), and ultimately a completely clueless, amoral, profiteer con artist President, Trump ('Rico Dedito' aka 'Little Fingers Going Down on Racketeering'.

How did this crew gain the White House? By Collusion...but the colluding parties get more numerous and ominous in extent, influence and total subjugation to a master scheme probably set in motion 20 years ago and controlled at least largely by Russian leader, shadow-not-really-defunct KGB master, GRU boss, Mafioso Don, Vladimir Putin. And there are probably more, but less visible mega-players at work. And everything at play is dancing to the script of a master playright (s) whose identity may never see sunlight.

And Hannity's role? He claims not to have used Cohen (Trump's off-and-on Fixer and a guy with 3 clients) and says he might have thrown "ten bucks" now and then to Cohen...and knowing how the chief wise guy, Trump, telegraphs his moves, Hannity probably did give ten bucks to Cohen to satisfy a legal 'show', 'see, I paid him for telling me where to buy the best lawnmower'...for my condo high rise apartment. Meaning? The conversation was all about transfer of communication having nothing to do with legal SERVICE... but much to do with passing instructions and coordinating messages to and from Hannity and his world of hard-right Putin-puppets, and Trump's camp. How else was/is Trump to know what to say, when and how? Think about it, 'Ten Bucks' keeps things nice and friendly ...'don't it Mr Mueller, please'?

Trumpian Times - Exit Left (IN JUST 60 DAYS !) with a Suggested Plan for an Interim 'potus' and New Election), Or, ' Down With the Business Model of Governance , Citizens Are Not A Disposable Labor Pool'

In 2009 and 2014 Pericles21 posted about the fallacy and threat of regarding the American Citizen as a disposable labor pool under a business model governance system run by big corporations and/or their servants.

It's Time to stop filling in the blanks in Trump's performances and statements with hopeful or "fair" interpretations of DT's daily (thrice daily?) gaffes, un-presidential tweets, insults to foreign leaders, threats, bullying, saber rattling, and so on...and look straight on at what sometimes occupies the Oval Office (sometimes its DT). It's a big cow-pie!

DT is a mess, his appointees are a line-up crew, fringe dwellers or zombies..who among will be indicted, investigated and dismissed next?

The majority of voters thought Trump was mess and about half of those who voted for Trump also thought he was a mess!

Now it's the moment, (and JUST 60 DAYS!!) the majority of voters thought would happen, even though willing to give the sobering influence of sitting behind the Oval Office desk to work some kind of magic on DT. It, the rehab of Trump, hasn't happened, it looks like it won't happen and things are getting worse daily.

We've gained INSIGHT from the Trump debacle:
wanting to be President, being President and earning respect (even begrudgingly) requires something Trump doesn't show he has...a basic personal integrity, a love or at least respect for the Constitution and democratic principles, a desire to better the lives of American citizens at all levels.
A tough job? YES! That is why a modern, 21st century America doesn't deserve Trump who is not at the intellectual level with other global leaders, not inspiring global comfortability (just the opposite, in Aces), and definitely not a person of inspiring ideas and vision beyond threatening to bomb the "sh//t" out of the demons of his twisted paranoia.

Pericles 21 has the following suggestions, after today's March 20, 2017, televised hearings between FBI Director Comey and the House Intelligence Committee (Wired Ezine, 03/20/17):

1/ DT given opportunity to walk out the front door, away forever from the White House and not be indicted for treason - with 10 yr suspension of all business licensing in the the USA; if he chooses to remain in the USA, DT has to register as a foreign agent while on American soil, but his family will not be affected, even though some of them might potentially also be in conflict of interest with the Russians.
2/ 2016 election declared void, and all appointee positions not filled be frozen in place with Obama holdovers.
3/ 6-10 month Pro-tem "chief executive" appointed (Obama) to set up real 2017 or 2018 election, with proviso that Obama will not be eligible not be allowed to run in the new election.

Obama is the only person with enough global cache" (trust, experience and confidence inspiring intellect), administrative determination, management skill and patience to reach compromises where required and set up the machinery for the new election.

After this, anyone with imagination can write books...and hopefully America will have had it up to the eyeballs experimenting with a business model leadership.

What we have witnessed - the Business Model just doesn't work...
CITIZENS ARE NOT A DISPOSABLE LABOR POOL TO BE LAID OFF OR DISCARDED TO IMPROVE THE BOTTOM LINE, OTHER SOLUTIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR LIVING STANDARDS INEQUALITY, JOBS, HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION!!!!).
And especially, DeVos should go or be placed aside in favor of a proven public servant (or committee of impartial educators) with national vision, not her.
